Part-Time Adult Choir Director

• Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through their genuine love for and the ability to work with a variety of ages in the adult choir.

• Hold weekly, well-organized rehearsals, beginning one week prior to Rally Day and concluding the week prior to Memorial Day.

• Direct the choir during Sunday morning worship with one Sunday off per month, plus other special holiday services (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, etc.)

• Provide effective communication to choir members regarding rehearsals, worship, etc.

• Recruit choir members.

• Teach the choir and congregation new liturgy.

• Be accountable to and work with the Pastor and music coordinator.

• Maintain adult choir music library and singing memorial fund.

• Be a member of the Worship Committee.

Part-Time Children’s Choir Director

• Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ by having a genuine love for and the ability to work with children through music.

• Hold weekly, well-organized rehearsals, beginning Rally Day and concluding the week prior to Memorial Day.

• Direct the Children’s choir at Sunday morning worship services at least once a month and on special holiday services including the youth Christmas program.

• Provide effective communication to Children’s choir members and their families regarding rehearsals, worship, etc.

• Be accountable to and work with the Pastor, music coordinator and director of children’s education.

• Maintain the children’s choir music library.

• Teach the children’s choir new liturgy.

• Be a member of the Worship Committee.

Part-Time Music-Worship Coordinator

• Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through their genuine love for and the ability to work with a variety of people involved in the music program at Martin Luther Church.

• Oversee the music programs at Martin Luther Church

• Direct liaison between pastor, choir directors, contemporary music leaders, organist, accompanists, and Worship Committee.

• Find appropriate ways to utilize the musical gifts of a wide variety of congregational members by coordinating special music (soloists, ensembles, instrumentalists, ad hoc groups) for worship services as needed or requested.

• Be accountable to and work with the Pastor.

• Be a member of the Worship Committee.
