Welcome to Martin Luther Church
Martin Luther Church, as a congregation, welcomes and celebrates the richness and diversity of all God’s people, regardless of where they’ve come from or where they are in their life’s journey. Therefore, we follow the teaching of 2 Corinthians 5:18: “All this is from God who reconciled us through Jesus Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is to be shared by all people without regard to age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or physical or mental abilities. All are welcome as members of the Body of Christ as workers in the kingdom of God, and at the table of our Lord.

Listen to Sunday, February 5, 2012 message

Lent returns this month with Ash Wednesday on February 22. Our theme for Lent this year is Cross- Eyed: Seeing the World Through the Lens of the Cross. We’ll explore what it means to follow a god who shows power through submission and glory through crucifixion. In addition to regular Sunday worship, there will be Lenten mid-week worship each Wednesday. Join us as we remember God’s mercy and anticipate the promise of resurrection. *Ash Wednesday Worship, Feb. 22 at 7pm: We begin our Lenten journey with this service of prayer and repentance including the imposition of ashes on our foreheads. *Mid-Week Vespers, Wednesdays at 7:00pm, starting Feb. 29: Using Holden Evening Prayer, this half-hour service is a chance to rest in the presence of God while we explore the theme of being Cross-Eyed. Soup Supper will be served beforehand for all who wish to come.

Packing Food

35,000 plus meals packed for Haiti's Hungry!
Several hundred volunteer hours were logged as young and old alike joined to put essential nutritious food into sealed packets for delivery to Haiti. Other area congregations joined Martin Luther Church in this effort, including St. Luke's Lutheran in Waukesha. Haiti is still reeling from the January 12, 2010 earthquake that killed nearly 250,000 people, injured 300,000, and left more than a million people homeless.
