Welcome to Martin Luther Church
Martin Luther Church, as a congregation, welcomes and celebrates the richness and diversity of all God’s people, regardless of where they’ve come from or where they are in their life’s journey. Therefore, we follow the teaching of 2 Corinthians 5:18: “All this is from God who reconciled us through Jesus Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is to be shared by all people without regard to age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or physical or mental abilities. All are welcome as members of the Body of Christ as workers in the kingdom of God, and at the table of our Lord.

Adult Classes
9:20 a.m. at MLC
Have you always felt a little intimidated by the idea of "Bible study?" Have you wondered about how we as Lutherans understand the authority of Scripture? In our Sunday morning adult education this year, we are addressing these concerns and more using "The Book of Faith" series. Currently we are working toward finishing "Opening the Book of Faith." Next we will take a look at some of the fundamental questions with "Making Sense of Scripture." In this book, the author uses a kitchen table approach to ask the following questions: What is the Bible? Is the Bible true? How is the Bible the Word of God? Where did the Bible come from? How can I read the Bible with greater understanding? Is there a "center" to Scripture? What kind of authority does the Bible hold?

If you would like to dip your toes in the waters of Bible study and see where it goes from here, please join us on Sunday mornings at 9:20 A.M. in the conference room.

Midweek Lenten Worship
Each Wednesday join us for Soup at 6 p.m.
Worship at 7:00 p.m.
This year we will again offer midweek worship during the season of Lent. Our focus this year comes from the “prayer of the heart.” From the words of an old monastic tradition: “…Take a seat in solitude and silence. Bend your head, close your eyes, and breathing softly, in your imagination, look into your own heart. Let your mind, or rather, your thoughts, flow from your head down to your heart…” Each Wednesday in March, our 7:00 P.M. worship will take us into that journey to the heart. We will again use the Holden Evening Prayer for the form of our worship, and will explore what shape our heart takes. Prior to the evening worship, you are all welcome to come for the Lenten soup suppers beginning at 6:00 P.M. and hosted by the Women of the ELCA and the youth of the congregation.
