Welcome to Martin Luther Church
Martin Luther Church, as a congregation, welcomes and celebrates the richness and diversity of all God’s people, regardless of where they’ve come from or where they are in their life’s journey. Therefore, we follow the teaching of 2 Corinthians 5:18: “All this is from God who reconciled us through Jesus Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is to be shared by all people without regard to age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or physical or mental abilities. All are welcome as members of the Body of Christ as workers in the kingdom of God, and at the table of our Lord.

Food Pack for Haiti's Hungry!
Martin Luther Church packs food to serve our neighbors in Haiti. MLC Council President Rob Buettner indicates that this is one of the miracles we participate in as a congregation.

2015 Tri-Fecta Church Picnic
June 7, 2015, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Martin Luther Church

On Sunday, June 7, at 11:30am, our fellowship hall tables will be set for the 2015 Tri-Fecta Church Picnic for Martin Luther, Milwaukee Mennonite, and St. Therese members and guests. Cannon Park was already booked with another group for this date, so we will be donating the $250 Cannon Park rental fee to Tosa Cares, which collects nonperishable food items, personal care items, clothing and school supplies for families in need, in the amounts of $125 from MLC, $75 from St. Therese, and $50 from MMC. Picnic attendees are encouraged to bring donations for Tosa Cares to the picnic, along with a potluck picnic-type food item to complement our cookout, and a donation for a freewill offering to help underwrite meat and beverage costs.

MLC will provide grilling meats (burgers, hot dogs, brats), all the fixings, paper plates, forks, spoons, knives, napkins, cups and beverages. St. Therese will provide buns and children's gift bags, and MMC will coordinate children's games. Please see the picnic display in the narthex, and sign up on the Tri-Fecta Church Picnic sign-up sheet with a count of adults and children. (St. Therese will also have a sign-up sheet to help us plan accordingly.)

New Bible Study Opportunity on Wednesdays
MLC Conference Room
Martin Luther is hosting a new Bible study during the day, starting June 3. Pastor Steve Kuhl from St. Mark’s Episcopal in South Milwaukee has offered to teach a weekly study of the scriptures using the Crossings method that seeks to “cross” our daily lives with the Law and Gospel of God’s Word, connecting readings to our living. This study is open to the whole community, so invite friends, and pass along the information. We will meet on Wednesdays at 9am in the Conference Room. Contact Pastor Ari for more info.

Cross+Generational Faith Adventure 2015: Everyday Superheroes
July 7-9, 2015
5:30-8:00 p.m.
Martin Luther Church

Families of all kinds - couples with kids or grandkids, couples (young or old) without kids, singles (young or old), cousins, godparents, friends - are invited to Cross+Generational Faith Adventure (formerly VBS) on Tuesday, July 7, through Thursday, July 9, from 5:30-8pm.

Ordinary people do extraordinary things every day, and YOU are one of them! Join us as we learn about the superpowers Jesus Christ gives all of us. Each evening begins with dinner! Then, have fun learning about Jesus, making capes, posing in the photo booth, climbing through Spiderman's webs, and more!

Register online at http://tinyurl.com/everydayheros or at the CGFA table in the narthex. The registration fee is $10/individual or $20/family. Please mail checks to Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 9235 W Bluemound Rd, Milwaukee WI 53226. Please put "CGFA" in the memo line. We never want a fee to keep anyone from participating. Scholarships are available! Please contact Pastor Ari at pastor@martinlutherchurch.net regarding scholarships.

Even if you can't attend, you can still be involved; CGFA needs your help! We are collecting new or clean, gently used L and XL T-shirts. We are also collecting nonperishable food items. We are making something special with the T-shirts, and the food will go to one of Martin Luther Church's outreach ministries. Please place your donations in the bin at the CGFA table in the narthex. Thank you!

If you have questions about Everyday Superheroes or registration, please contact Kate Mattson at kateandari@gmail.com.

Pastor Weeden's Study Groups
A couple months of meaningful dialogue with the men’s and women’s study groups began over the issue of the traditional summer break and a questioning of that ridiculous idea of "because this is the way we've always done it!" We ended-up looking at the "bigger picture," including the "holiday madness" period, Wisconsin winter weather and darkness, and an idea that came from both groups: a combined session!

The Women's Group will continue to meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm; however, there will be no meetings in July, November, or December.

The Men's Group will now meet at 6:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of every month except July, November, and December. In February, there will be a meeting with both groups coming together on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to discuss a special topic, such as prayer, Holy Communion, etc.

From Pastor Richard Weeden: "Thank you, everyone, for your input and creative thinking. I'm blessed to be a part of this and among you wonderful people!"
