Food Pack for Haiti's Hungry!
Martin Luther Church packs food to serve our neighbors in Haiti.
MLC Council President Rob Buettner indicates that this is one of the miracles we participate in as a congregation.

New Bible Study Opportunity on
MLC Conference Room
Martin Luther is hosting a new Bible
study during the day. Pastor Steve Kuhl from St. Mark’s
Episcopal in South Milwaukee has
offered to teach a weekly study of
the scriptures using the Crossings
method that seeks to “cross” our
daily lives with the Law and Gospel
of God’s Word, connecting readings
to our living. This study is open to the
whole community, so invite friends,
and pass along the information.
We will meet on Wednesdays at
9am in the Conference Room.

Pastor Weeden's Study Groups
A couple months of meaningful dialogue with the men’s and women’s study groups began over the issue of the traditional summer
break and a questioning of that ridiculous idea of "because this is the way we've always done it!" We ended-up looking at the
"bigger picture," including the "holiday madness" period, Wisconsin winter weather and darkness, and an idea that came from
both groups: a combined session!
92nd St bridge is CLOSED and scheduled to reopen by late 2015.
Wisconsin Ave. bridge is closed. You will need to use Bluemound, Watertown Plank, or Greenfield to travel east/west over US 45
On August 19, traffic on 45 South will be shifted onto new roadway just south of Watertown Plank Road. This will mean two things. First, anyone exiting 45S to get on I-94 East (toward Milwaukee) will need to be in the left hand lane by Watertown Plank Road. This is almost a mile earlier than usual. Second, they will be opening the new exit ramp to Bluemound Rd.! Anyone traveling from the north will now be able to exit right onto Bluemound and turn left to MLC. (The remaining Bluemound ramps are still a year or more away.)
The Women's Group will continue to meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm; however, there will be no meetings in
July, November, or December.
The Men's Group will now meet at 6:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of every month except July, November, and December.
In February, there will be a meeting with both groups coming together on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to discuss a special
topic, such as prayer, Holy Communion, etc.
